This programme is designed for start-up industrial entrepreneurs that have business ideas but lack complete set of production equipment for commercial operations. The entrepreneurs share access to KIRDI’s equipment, facilities (water, space and electricity), technical expertise and technologies on pre-arranged schedules for a maximum of 18 months. The objective is to support enterprises to improve their technical and financial capacity to be able to acquire similar equipment and establish their own manufacturing facilities. In 2021/2022 financial year, up to 2,000 enterprises accessed Common Manufacturing Facility services thus creating opportunities for 6,000 direct and 10,000 indirect jobs annually.
