KIRDI is a state corporation established under the Science, Technology Act 2013, and is currently in the Ministry of Industrialization and Enterprise Development (MOIED), and has a national mandate to undertake research, technology and innovation in industrial and allied technologies.

KIRDI in collaboration with Animal Health and Nutrition Stakeholders is organizing a training course on animal feeds formulation for commercial and on-farm use. The training will be offered for five (5) days and targets farmers and entrepreneurs who would like to venture into feed formulation and manufacturing.

The training scope includes basics of animal nutrition, feed ingredients, feed analysis, feeding standards and ration formulation (using computer software).

The minimum level of education is at least KCSE with a basic understanding of computers.

Cost includes training materials, lunch, teas and certificate and it does not cater for accommodation, you are kindly requested to make arrangements for the same.


The training will be held at KIRDI South C Headquarters’ Popo Road, off Mombasa Road, Nairobi.
