KIRDI Enterprises Services

The institute’s Research Technology and Innovation (RTI) outputs are disseminated through the KIRDI Enterprises Services. Technologies for transfer include those developed in-house through RTI, adopted and adapted technologies, technologies developed through reverse engineering and those identified through mining of patents, among others.

The transfer of technologies arising from the above is often realized through the following, among others:

  • Technology and Business Incubation Services (in-house and virtual)
  • Establishment of Pilot Plants
  • Common Manufacturing Facilities
  • The Institute’s Commercial Service Centres, among others

The Institute's commercial centers and pilot plants are in almost all Kenyan counties. View KIRDI Presence in Kenya in a map.

The BLUE place holders in the map indicate established centers of KIRDI while the RED placeholders denote implemented projects by KIRDI.
